Day Five - Westcote Barton to Cropedy

Graeme and Nynka, at Westcote Bartonwere charming and attentive hosts and we got on very well.  It was lovely to spend time with them.

Another day, another fifteen miles.  It started of fine and sunny, overclouded a bit, but stayed dry until an hour after I got here.

Here are some of the sights of the day...

Just entering Sandford, one of Graeme's four parishes.
Bloxham!

Not Cross in Banbury.
Not Cross in Banbury
Nearly there!
Nearly there!
Lunch was at Bloxham - it looked like they were just selling bread and milk, and presumably other groceries.  In fact they are a deli who do delicious lunches, and I had a delicious Meze.

Walking down into Banbury I had a cup of tea and bought some more waterproof protection for my back pack, just in case it rains.  On the way out I saw Stuart ...

The work he was doing on the roof of a pub is expected to last for 30 years.  At St Michael's we are attempting a project to last for generations!

And so through the back lanes of the Bourtons to Cropedy, where I have been made very welcome by Pat and Barry.  She had a PCC meeting, so I have been wrestling with Audioboo (which is not operating) and YouTube (which uploads but we cannot always import them into the blog).  In some ways, the walking is the easiest bit!

Tomorrow to Southam, where my host Gary promises that we can watch the football.
